La presente edición bilingüe inglés-español, que Editorial Verbo Divino y la Sociedad Bíblica Católica Internacional (SOBICAIN) tienen el honor de presentar al público hispanohablante que vive en los Estados Unidos de América, responde al doble desafío de respetar la interculturalidad de la fe bíblica y de abrirla al gran reto de la unión, mediante el mestizaje y la hibridación, entre la cultura anglosajona y la cultura latinoamericana que conviven ya, de hecho, bajo el mismo techo de un mismo territorio nacional.
Los textos que se presentan, dispouestos simétricamente en columnas paralelas, correponden a las conocidas y ya consagradas traducciones de La Biblia Latinoamérica y de su homóloga en inglés Christian Community Bible.
The current English-Spanish bilingual edition, which Editorial Verbo Divino and SOBICAIN (the International Catholic Biblical Society) have the honor of presenting to the Spanish-speaking public living in the United States of America, responds to the twofold challenge of respecting the interculturality natural of biblical faith and of opening it to the great challenge of union, by means of fusion and hybridization, between the Anglo-Saxon culture and Latin American cultures, which, in fact, already coexist under the same roof of one and the same national territory.
The texts that are presented, laid out symmetrically in parallel columns, correspond to the familiar and acclaimed translatios of La Biblia Latinoamérica (The Latin American Bible) and its counterpart in English, the Christian Community Bible.
